Smokehouse BBQ and Burgers in Orem

Smokehouse bbq has always been known for its delicious burgers. They are on the more expensive side when it comes to burgers. However this last experience we had was on the disappointing side. I’m not sure if owners have changed but the burgers have. The soul of the burger just isn’t there anymore. The patties are now a pressed patty instead of a fresh patty. Ingredients were forgotten on the burger so it didn’t give the same experience as past burgers. Hopefully they can pull it back together real soon.

Great place, the ribs are delicious. Try their daily special they are super creative.

This is my favorite BBQ in Orem! Best place for a cheap lunch in Utah County also. Been here many times and will be back for more!

Moist perfectly textured cornbread and cinnamon brown sugar mashed sweet potatoes were highlights. Meats were average 3 out of 5. Chicken a bit dry. Mashed sweet potatoes had cold spots like they were reheated in microwave. Enjoyed the unique slightly sweet strawberry chipotle sauce with just a small kick.

Oh my god. Worst BBQ ever. We couldn’t even eat it.

It was meh for the price. I got a pulled pork sandwich and it was soooooo dry- zero bbq sauce. Paid almost $3 for fries and they had little flavor and there wasn’t a lot. Also part of my order was forgotten and the restaurant has no patrons so they weren’t super busy so...not sure how they forgot. It was fine but I won’t be going back.

Literally zero reason to go back here. Both times I had just an okay experience. After seeing beautiful pictures of burgers from here I decided to go back to give it another shot. The burger was not bad but it was a classic case of a picture that looked better than what you get.This place does not stand up to any of the other local BBQ joints in town. Taste, location, price, service are all worse. I prefer 5 Star and R&R by a long way. It's okay for a burger but don't bother with the rest.

Our entire family absolutely LOVES Smokehouse! We've been coming here for years, way back when they were next to Barnes & Noble. They have the best pulled pork and best burgers in Utah County! They also offer a ton of specialty sauces and unique burgers. My person fav is the mocha burger! Staff is wonderful and service is always prompt! Thanks, Smokehouse!

They recently changed ownership. I have to downgrade them. There was nothing wrong with how they used to do things but the new people came and and did things a new way and simply put, it's just not as good. I used to eat here 15-20 times a year. I went 3 times since the change just to make sure and I think I've had enough. Sad.

Super family friendly! My mom friends and I went in today for bbq pork fries and they were delicious. As a bigger crowd on a week day within minutes the music changed to Disney favorites, and someone brought us a stack of paper and crayons. The women’s restroom has a great changing table and ottoman for other kiddos or even breast feeding. The fries were great and I’ll be back to try their highly recommended burgers, but for me, catering to moms with kids is a 5star review every time!

This is the first time I've been here and it was amazing! I had their Steak and Egg burger; it's my new favorite burger in town. The ribs my father had were pretty good too.

Amazing food! I got the $9.99 half rack Friday special. I'll probably get something different next time because they had a lot of fat. The Mac and Cheese was SO creamy! And make sure to get the Apple Beer non alcoholic soda, it's SO good! Definitely coming back again!Note that this place does not have waiters, you order at the counter.

From the first moment you come to that place the stuff gives you an agreeable feeling. Very courteous waiters, it is a nice place to to go out with friends or with your date. very good cooking, professional chef, decent pay and courteous service. Highly recommended.

While this place is located in a small strip mall, do not be fooled by looks. Tried Smokehouse after it came up on DoorDash and was intrigued. We all got a 1 or 2 meat plate and loved it!! The chicken was juicy and tender and the seasoning was so good. Hands down best chicken I’ve ever gotten at a BBQ. Mac & cheese was delightful too, not the best I’ve had but good. My little sis called her burger 10 out of 10! I’d definitely recommend giving them a try! New fav BBQ joint!

The burgers are okay, but their sides need work.. I ordered a side of fries and onion rings and both weren't very good.. the fries were soft, undercooked, and soggy, and the onion rings were super bland..

Overall pretty satisfied, had a huge selection of sauces and I particularly enjoyed the "oh my heck" sauce. Portions were fine, service was friendly and timely, only complaint is that we got some brisket and it tasted okay but definitely wasn't tender, felt more like it had been thawed out and left under a heat lamp.

Iv been coming here once a week for the last 5 years,use to think the new owner had this places best interest at heart but every week hes either raised the prices or taken away the ability to pick our own sides on specials without charging 3 dollars more? Like really dude can you get any more greedy.

Got the pulled pork, Mac & cheese, and sweet potato mash. All three were great; pork was super juicy and tender. Tried a piece of the brisket though, and while it was juicy it was not so tender.

This spot is my preferred one. I go to many restaurants but here I keep coming back again and again. The team is very welcoming and the cuisine they offer is so good. I would always prefer to have a decent dinner in this place. I highly recommend this place.

Get the Egg Brisket Burger!! Awesome food.

I don’t give 5 stars lightly on true southern BBQ places. This place nailed it! And I got take out so it probably isn’t even as good as it could’ve been! Yes I’m for sure going to go dine into this place! I got the 2 meat plate because I wanted to try so much!Pork ribs (1/3 rack). So tender and delicious. Wet Brisket. Amazing and soo flavorful without the sauces.Mac and cheese. Solid good and didn’t go wrong. Aka isn’t the cheap stuff.BBQ baked beans. These are full southern country style and great.Lastly and most importantly in my opinion. The sauces! The Carolina sauce and Alabama sauces were by far my favorite! They were done so well I wish I would’ve got more! I’ll be back!

I really, really like this place for the ultimate cheeseburger. It got me into blue cheese, actually, and blue cheese is... pleh. Until this! It mixed with the rest of the cheese, and it was a pleasant, (relatively) subtle flavor. I eat here with an unhealthy frequency, no doubt. Thick patties, unique flavor combinations, and a lovely mac and cheese side! Ya can't go wrong with that combo!

Awesome meat I wasn't a huge fan of the sauce but I'm sure other people could really enjoy it

Great food, decently friendly staff. Sunnyside up egg had some uncooked egg white "snot" but other than that the meat tasted good and the fries were pretty good too.

I went here for the first time today. Very disappointing. I ordered the smoked chicken tacos. I received two tiny corn tortillas not warmed up or grilled. Each had a little mound of chicken on it with absolutely nothing else. No lettuce, no cheese, no flavor, definitely not smoked! More like boiled, not even salt or pepper and overcooked. I will not be back.

Was good till they made the stupid decision to take away the family special. Stupid stupid call on them.

Delicious tacos! It didn't come with anything besides chicken in it but it was still delicious! I'm guessing that's just the deal with the $0.99 taco Tuesday? Anyways the staff is super kind!!! I'd recommend this place for sure. It's very conveniently placed too. 👌

This place is a must for a good burger. They are very well priced too, about $8.

Very disappointed today! Haven't been in a couple of years and went today. Got pulled pork sandwiches fries and coleslaw. The sandwiches had very little meat the coleslaw was flavorless. And way overpriced. Definitely not impressed.

Usually this place is actually pretty good, but I just had some of the worst take out food I've ever eaten. The ribs tasted and looked like they had been sitting for days and were dry and tasted very odd. I'm really not a picky eater, but this was pretty bad. On top of that the fork I got was greasy and had some nasty stuff stuck to it.

Great BBQ. So many options but everyone finds their favorite dish. Nice owner. Friendly service. The pork is great! Get the pork ribs or even the bbq fries loaded with pork and a drink for less than $6.

I liked this place a lot. The burgers are delicious. My wife thought the ground beef was "creamy" or "too smoothe" but I didn't notice anything. The have lots of sauces. Free beverage flavor add-ins. Friendly service. Daily specials. I would like to go back.

I’d probably give the food a 5.5 or a 6/10. It wasn’t great but it wasn’t bad. They also forgot part of my order so I had to wait to eat my burger. I’m not sure if I’d come back, purely based on how the food tasted. I’m not too bothered about forgetting part of the order, as people make mistakes. I got the cowboy burger combo with an extra patty (which they forgot), and it was meh

Don't know how many years I've driven past this place without ever thinking to give it a shot. It came up on Door Dash with some good looking pictures of a Hawaiian Burger so I put in an order. It was one of the best burgers I've had in a while! I will be adding this place to my regular rotation now! *My 2 cents to the owners* update your website to include pictures like you have on Door Dash. It will bring in more customers.

This place was good. Now the management changed and my last visits where all a shot show. They claim they aren't taking perknow anymore even though they are still advertising deals on there. They have no chicken on the day chicken is the daily special. It's become a joke of a place. Save your money and go somewhere else.

Food is amazing no matter what I get. Their bacon Bleu burger is our favorite. Love the relaxed atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. We've come here for a couple years.

We love Smokehouse. They have daily specials, great service, and nice variety of bbq sauces. I think it's some of the best bbq in Utah. And don't miss out on the burgers! If you are a cheese lover- the Ultimate Burger is awesome.

Amazing! Tried this place today for the first time and will absolutely be returning. Delicious pulled pork sandwich with a huge array of barbecue sauce options. Made me feel like we were back in Alabama! Tasty food, very fair prices, nice atmosphere, friendly staff, great soundtrack. Too bad there isn’t a location in Salt Lake County. Yet.

The service is great and the quantity is large. 😉

Meat platters are incredible. Absolutely love them. Burgers are delicious too and my kids LOVE the mac and cheese!

Great burgers and a family deal on Tuesdays, a bit of a wait, but worth it. In house made bagel buns worth anybody's Friday night.

BBQ Pulled pork sandwich was very plain, and jalapeño burger was also very plain no flavor. They put “bbq” sauce in the bag but turned out to be ketchup. Won’t be going here again because for two sandwiches and a kids meal of 5 nuggets costing almost $30 was not worth it! Very disappointed

Fairly subpar food. Cold onion rings that could have been cooked longer when they were cooked, and extremely dry bread. Saving grace was the fries were good, and they had a good assortment of sauces.

Overpriced with oily fries. For over $10 I bought the Bacon Cheeseburger combo meal with fries and drink. Came with pickle spear. Burger comes plain. I was told I could dress the burger at the counter by the self serve soda fountain but there was nothing but barbecue sauces and ketchup. The french fries were oily and limp. The food was good when it was the first owner. I believe the current owner is owner number 3. The food quality keeps going down. Only reson I gave it 2 stars was because the bacon was plentiful and cooked well.

I get to eat here a lot since I work nearby. I have to say their customer service is always awesome and they keep the spot well organized all the time. Pricing is affordable and they serve large portions.

I love the food here. Service is pretty decent, decor is fun. New hours & great new music system.
